Sell the device that closes wounds others can't.
Surgeons deal with product problems every day—broken screws, failed implants, difficult cases, and unhappy outcomes.
SUTUREGARD is different.
It's simple to use, solves a real problem, and delivers an immediate, visible benefit: helping surgeons close wounds that would otherwise be difficult or impossible to close under tension.
We're recruiting, screening, and training medical device reps to bring it to more surgeons.
- 80% reduction in dehiscence vs. suture alone
- Self-adhesive — no Mastisol or benzoin
- One device per inch, averaging 4 per case
A product surgeons are already asking for
Most reps sell products surgeons tolerate. ASRD is different — it solves a visible, painful problem and gives surgeons an immediate win. That's what makes it easier to sell, and easier to build a territory around.
Opens doors
A device that visibly improves outcomes gets you back in the room with surgeons who've stopped taking rep calls.
Solves a real problem
High-tension wound closure fails constantly with suture alone. ASRD gives surgeons a fix they can feel in the OR.
Built-in expansion path
Surgeons move from reactive to proactive users fast — once it's on a preference card, volume compounds.
Makes surgeons' lives easier
No new technique to master and no workflow disruption — just a simple addition to closure that surgeons notice immediately.
What we look for
We screen for reps who can walk into an OR-adjacent conversation with confidence — clinical fluency matters as much as sales record.
-
01
Surgical or ortho/podiatric device experience
2+ years preferred — operating room or surgical specialty sales. Direct foot & ankle or trauma experience is a strong plus.
-
02
Existing surgeon relationships
Established call points with orthopedic surgeons or podiatrists in your territory.
-
03
Comfort in the OR
Willingness to be present for cases, observe technique, and support surgeons chairside during early adoption.
-
04
Territory & travel fit
Coverage plan that overlaps with our approved hospital list, with realistic travel expectations for your region.
-
05
Coachability
A 90%+ score on the clinical training test is required to move to a screening call — this isn't optional.
How screening works

Paired with a target account list and a first-30-days call plan. What training looks like once you're in
Training happens as part of screening, not after. Every applicant completes the same clinical training and final test — covering technique, evidence, procedures, and objections. Here's a preview of what's inside.
Full clinical training
Product mechanism, procedure selection, technique pearls, and outcomes — required before the final test.
Preview module ↗How to apply ASRD — 4 steps
Placement, pressure, suture technique, and closure — the walkthrough reps use as an OR-side reference.
Preview module ↗ZONAL® technology & outcomes
Why ASRD is structurally different from tape, staples, or NPWT — and the data that backs it up.
Preview module ↗The training site ends with a graded final test. Applicants who score 90% or higher move on to a screening call — this is a required screening step, not a post-hire formality.

Rep FAQs
Is this a 1099 or W2 role?
This is a 1099 rep role.
Do I need existing hospital access to apply?
It helps, but it's not required. What matters most is surgeon relationships in orthopedics, podiatry, or trauma — hospital credentialing can often follow.
When do I complete training — before or after I'm hired?
Before. Training and the final test are part of the screening process itself. You'll need a score of 90% or higher before we schedule a screening call.
What if I don't score 90% on the first try?
You can retake the training test on the training site as many times as you need before submitting your application.
Can I sell ASRD alongside my current product line?
Many of our reps carry ASRD alongside complementary lines. We'll talk through fit and any exclusivity questions on your screening call.
Who do I contact about pricing or existing accounts?
